New Postdoc in Schnurbusch lab: Shuangshuang Zhao

Shuangshuang comes from China and did her PhD in China Agricultural University (Department of Plant Genetics and Breeding) under the supervision of Lubin Tan. She studied the molecular basis of rice leaf width and tiller angle by using both induced mutants and wild germplasms. She joined Thorsten Schnurbusch’s lab at Leibniz Institute IPK in Gatersleben in 2021, and is now trying to understand the genetic and molecular basis of barley inflorescence meristem maintenance and floral organ differentiation, with a special focus on the WOX family genes.
