Lea Berg’s Brachypodium paper has made it onto the cover of "The Plant Cell"

Grass leaves are the photosynthetic powerhouses of human civilisation. Lea Berg's transcriptomic atlas of nearly 70,000 cells from shoot apex to mature leaf follows the genetic programs that form a grass leaf. Her results were published in The Plant Cell, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2026 entiteled The developing leaf of the wild grass Brachypodium distachyon at single-cell resolution.
